To go on a guided walk: The Larnaka walks are designed for individual visitors of Larnaca and there is no need to book in advance. Simply come along at the starting point and set time. There are two walks: “Larnaca – Past and Present” and “Skala – Its Craftsmen”. The first starts from the Cyprus Tourist Organization (CTO) Information Office and the second starts from the Larnaka Fort – (Larnaka Medieval Museum). Five minutes are given by after the set time to allow for latecomers. The walks last for two hours including a twenty - minute break to give a chance for resting and having a drink in a traditional kafenion (coffee shop), to quench one’s thirst, especially during the summer months. A qualified, licensed Cyprus Tourism Organization Guide, who is at the starting point to meet the visitors, accompanies both tours. Participants are advised to wear comfortable walking shoes and light cloths. A hat is recommended, especially during the summer months.
